RAFTING VILCANOTA RIVER - 2 DAYS

First Day: We pick you up from your hotel in our private transport, after 2 hours of travel, we reach Cusipata where our private camp is located. Arriving to our private campsite will provide all personal equipment for boating like life jacket, a waterproof jacket, wet suit and helmet. Our guides will give a safety talk and instructions about canoeing in class II rapids. After visiting the river for two hours of canoeing, our transport returns to the camp.The lunch will be served at the camp, then walks around to appreciate the scenery. Then we rest in our "CASA CUSI", a camping area with comfortable dining room, sauna, Jacuzzi, hammocks and great food. At night you sleep under the murmur of the river. 
Second Day: After a relaxing sauna and a good night's sleep, enjoy a healthy breakfast and head to the section of river called CHUQUICAUANA, where we will visit the class III rapids. You will enjoy 2 hours touring the river adventure. At the end of the tour we have lunch buffet on the river which is a variation of food to suit the client in addition to soft drinks, etc. After lunch you can enjoy the sauna and later we will return to Cusco arriving at 4.30pm. We will pass on bus by your hotel at 8:30 am, Heading to River Vilcanota in CUSIPATA where our Camp is placed , Our journey lasts 2 Hours. Once we arrive our guide will give us the instructions and commands on the boat. We will walj for 10 minutes up to Chuquicahuana, The rapids here are class III. You will have a good time in the River for 2 Hours. Then we will have a Buffet lunch near the River we will part to Cusco around 4:30pm.

Rapids Classification: - Class I.- Easy. Smooth water; light riffles; clear passages, occasional sand banks and gentle curves. The most difficult problems might arise when paddling around bridges and other obvious obstructions. classification
- Class II.- Moderate. Medium-quick water; rapids with regular waves; clear and open passages between rocks and ledges. Maneuvering required. Best handled by intermediates who can maneuver canoes and read water.
- Class III.- Moderately difficult. Numerous high and irregular waves; rocks and eddies with passages clear but narrow and requiring experience to run. Visual inspection required if rapids are unknown. Open canoes without flotation bags will have difficulty. These rapids are best left to canoeists with expert skills.
- Class IV- Difficult. Long and powerful rapids and standing waves; souse holes and boiling eddies. Powerful and precise maneuvering required. Visual inspection mandatory. Cannot be run in canoes unless the craft is decked or properlyequipped with flotation bags. Advance preparations for possible rescue work important.
- Class V- Extremely difficult. Long and violent rapids that follow each other almost without interruption. River filled with obstructions. Big drops and violent currents. Extremely steep gradient. Even reconnoitering may be difficult. Rescue preparations mandatory. Can be run only by top experts in specially equipped whitewater canoes, decked craft, and kayaks.
- Class VI.- Extraordinarily difficult. Paddlers face constant threat of death because of extreme danger. Navigable only when water levels and conditions are favorable. This violent whitewater should be left to paddlers of Olympic ability. Every safety precaution must be taken.

Sixth day : TOUR TO THE TITICACA LAKE, UROS ISLAND AND TAQUILE Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel by our local guide and then transferred to the harbor. We start off our boat excursion of Lake Titicaca by visiting The Uros Floating Island�, a small community that has lived on these reed Islands for decades. Centuries ago the small indigenous Uros tribe conceived of the islands as a way to isolate and protect themselves from rival tribes, the Collas and the Incas. The Uros people harvested the reeds in the shallows of the lake, bundled them together tightly and built floating island platforms complete with reed houses and canoes, creating in this way their own little world. After strolling around the floating Islands, we continue our journey towards Taquile Island� (2 hour aprox.), a traditional Quechua speaking community, full of ancient agricultural terraces and some ruins dating back to the pre-Inca times. The Taquile population was relatively isolated from the mainland until 1950s, and the notion of the community and family is still very strong among them. At the top of the Island, you will have free time to explore this place on your own and afterwards you will meet the group for lunch at one local restaurant. After lunch, we will descent to the harbor to take our boat back to Puno. We will be back in Puno by 17:00 h. approximately. Seventh day: Tour to Copacabana and Isla del Sol Breakfast in the hotel, then we'll go to the Puno bus terminal to board the tour bus heading to Copacabana the trip takes 3 hours. In Copacabana visit the Cathedral, the Shrine of the Black Virgin and the main square. A noon lunch typical food, then we will make the tour to Isla del Sol, across the lake for about an hour and a half to reach the southern part of the Isla del Sol, where we visited the Archaeological remains of "Pillcokaina-Temple Inca ", a religious center, then a short walk through the steps of Yumani, until you reach the fountain of youth, there you can cool off with a bit of holy water, it is believed that this source is the source of eternal youth, and also enjoy the beauty of that beautiful garden of the Incas. At night we will rest in a selected hotel in Copacabana. (Photo: Isla del Sol) Eighth day:  Travel by bus from Copacabana to La Paz and La Paz to Uyuni After breakfast at the Hotel, will have the morning to tour the city of Copacabana, complete the purchase of handicrafts and souvenirs, as well as to learn more about local customs and daily life of the settler in the area. Later in the evening 1.30pm to hours, we board the bus to La Paz. Upon arrival our staff will be waiting for you to make a trip around town and take them to dinner at night 9.00pm to hours aboard the bus en route to the town of Uyuni. (Photo: Panoramic view of the city of La Paz) Ninth day: Starting the tour of the Salar de Uyuni On arrival at the town of Uyuni, our staff will be waiting for you, to have breakfast and then begin our trip to Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt desert in the world. On the way visit the salt exploitation and hotels Colchani salt, continuing the program runs Incahuasi Island (also known as Fish Island). Of volcanic origin and plated estromalitos and giant cactus, from this place are the immensity of the Salar and enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the salt flat and mountain ranges that surround it, then we headed toward the town of San Juan, where spend the night in the house of a villager (hot showers and basic services). (Photo: Fish Island) Tenth day: Tour San Juan - Laguna Colorada After breakfast in the town of San Juan, crossed the Salar de Chiguana. The road climbs from 3600 to 4200 meters high. Along the Chilean border, we go to the foot of volcanoes Ollagüe (still active) and Tomasamil (5900 m), we will cross the path called the Jewels: Cañapa gaps, Stinking, Honda and Ch'arkota, where we see a diverse fauna ranging from alpacas and llamas to rheas and pink flamingos. (Photo: Laguna Colorada) Eleventh day:  Laguna Colorada - Laguna Verde We leave at 6:00 am on a trip to the geysers Sol de Mañana (4850 meters), a volcanic crater with sulfur fumes and vapors of heavy water. Visit after the Salt Lake before crossing the desert of Dali. At the appointed time arrive at the Green Lagoon at the foot of the volcano Licancabur (5,900 m), to observe the color change of the gap, ending the tour will be transferred to Uyuni, where we board the bus back to the city of La Paz, hours the bus leaves at 9.00pm. In afternoon we'll visit the city of La Paz returning to his typical artisan market, the colonial church of San Francisco, the famous witch doctor market and the Plaza Murillo where are the Government Palace, Cathedral and National Congress, then avenue Jaen where interesting museums are located, followed by open-air museum of Tiwanaku culture. Will continue with visits to residential areas Obrajes Calocoto and Florida. Finishing with a visit to the Magic Valley of the Moon. In the evening, enjoy a show of typical dances colorful costumes. (Photo: Valley of the Moon) Thirteenth day: Travel by bus from La Paz to Puno After taking breakfast at the hotel will be transferred to the bus terminal in La Paz, to board the bus in 6 hours, it moved to the city of Puno, our staff will be waiting and drive you to your hotel, so you can rest . In the afternoon tour to Chullpas Sillustani pre-Inca burial towers located on the shores of Lake Umayo, the highest is about 12 ms. Finally passed the night in the hotel.
